VCE Coordinator’s Message

Dear Friends,

My warmest thoughts are with you as we navigate our way through these challenging times. There is no doubt we are being asked to go above and beyond our greatest abilities. We are all doing it tough, but there is definitely a light shining brightly at the end of this tunnel.

To my Year 11 students, I say continue to stay in touch with your teachers, as they will provide all the assistance and guidance you need in preparation for these final couple of months of the year, and with all the assessments that are to come. As you look ahead to next year, do not forget to order your 2021 Year 12 ‘varsity’ jacket. You will be receiving information about how to place your order very soon, if you have not already received it. Parents, please note that purchasing the ‘varsity’ jacket is not compulsory, but if you choose not to buy one for your son, then he will be required to continue wearing the standard Sirius College blazer instead.

To my Year 12 students I say you are almost there. Despite the disappointment of realising that this year has in no way been quite the final year of school you had imagined; I want to congratulate you on reaching this milestone. Even with all this instability, I still found it to be rewarding, especially as I was able to catch-up with most of you again after the passing of many years since you and I were previously together, back in Years 7 and 8. Now, with exams coming up, I want you to do your very best to prepare and do not cease asking your teachers for support - I know I speak for all of us when I say that we are here for you, always.

Enjoy your holiday break.

Stay safe and healthy!

Yours sincerely,
Mr Adrian Verga
